As an Associated Registred Auction House theCarAuction is specialized in Insolvency processing.  On a regular base vehicles are auctioned by curators and financial companies. As mentioned in article 250 and 251 of the Dutch Burgerlijk Wetbook 3 (Book of law # 3), these auctions are often organized by and according to principle rules of Public Sales. This means that everybody who wishes, is allowed to bid.

Fill out the application form and fax or email it signed, including a readable and valid copy of your ID to 0416-344588 or info@theCarAuction.eu. As soon as your application has been received you will receive a confirmation. Incomplete or incorrectly filled out forms will not be processed or taken into consideration.

Conditions

Please note that our auctions are conducted under strict terms and conditions. You are strongly advised to read the terms and conditions before bidding. The terms and conditions are set and not negotiable. Auto Auction only sells vehicles with a so-called Dutch descriptive guarantee. It is not possible to set claims at or after public sales. The vehicles are sold in the state in which they are -as is. Vehicles can only be inspected during the set 'show days'.

Show days

Open days will only be arranged at a public sale. Buyers are strongly advised to inspect the vehicles before bidding by coming to the 'show or inspection days'. Unlike the standard method, at a public sale filing complaints and or restitution is not possible. A public sale is usually performed in the auction format of Tender auction.

Bidding and buying procedure

Bids include VAT, and BPM, if applicable, and do not include commission and transportation costs. In case of bankruptcy, the vehicles mostly fall under the margin scheme and no taxes are included in the purchase price. The amounts listed on our site regarding 'commission', do not include VAT. Allocation plus transportation and other costs are added to the amount of your bid. The details of the transaction are confirmed to you by email. In your Purchase Menu you will find the purchase invoice, and from there you can print the invoice and pay.

To get the car in your possession, do the following:

  • You must pay the vehicle within 24 hours after allocation, by bank on one of the account numbers of theCarAuction, you find on the invoice. Cash transactions are not possible.

A buyer who fails to pay and purchase a vehicle as the highest bidder, is fined for at least € 1.000,- not including VAT, as stated in our terms and conditions. All costs incurred by this default are added to the bill
